Cross Country Years 3 to 6
A mixture of 40 boys and girls from years 3 to 6 participated in the 'ACE's Cross Country Competition' competing against a number of local schools I would like to say a huge well done to all pupils, who participated in this event. As a school we successfully finished in first place.

Basketball Competition
A mixture of sevenboys and girls from years 6 participated in the 'TAC Games Basketball Competition' at Trinity Cathedral Academy. Pupils competing against a number of local schools I would like to say a huge well done to our pupils who performed admirably and gave their all during the competition. Pupils showed high levels of sportsmanship and came finished the competition with one draw and three defeats.

Boys and Girls 7-A-Side Football Competition Year 3 and 4
A mixture of 20 boys and girls from year 3 and 4 participated in the 'Year 3 and 4, 7-A-Side Football Competition' competing against a number of schools from across West and South Yorkshire. Plying at the wonderful facilities provided by the Dorothy Hyman stadium our pupils put in a number of fantastic performances. I would like to say a huge well done to our year 3 and 4 boys and girls, who participated in this event. As a school we entered two teams into this competition, each of which played fantastically showing sportsmanship, team work and communication skills.

Year 5 and 6 Kabaddi Tournament
A mixture of boys and girls from years 5 and 6 participated in a Kabaddi Tournament at Trinity Cathedral Academy. Our pupils were introduced to a new sport, of which our pupils were extremely excited to undertake this event. Working as a team, pupils created their own tactics to be used during matches, showing adaptability, resilience and understanding of one anothers strengths and weaknesses. I am delighted to say that Snapethorpe Primary ended the competition in 2nd place. I would like to say a huge congratulations and well done to all pupils who participated.
Year 5 and 6 Inter Class Football Competition Spring Term
A mixture of boys and girls from years 5 and 6 participated in an Inter Class Football Competition across week 4 of our third term. I would like to say a huge well done to all of our pupils who participated within this event, showing high levels of resilience, aspirational goal setting and engagement. All matches were played with the upmost respect and sportsmanship shown between pupils. Once again Buttercup class in Year 6 managed to win the competition keeping hold of their champions status.

Year 5 and 6 Introduction to Badminton and Table Tennis
A mixture of boys and girls from years 5 and 6 participated in an Introduction to Table Tennis and Badminton workshop at Trinity Cathedral Academy. This event was a fantastic afternoon, during which pupils participated in two great sports, whilst developing sporting prowess. We'd like to thank Trinity Cathedral Academy for the opportunity to participate within this event.
